FLIR TrafiCam x-stream is a vehicle presence detection and traffic data collection sensor that combines a CMOS camera and a video detector in a single device. The device detects and monitors moving and stopped vehicles at signalized intersections, and collects traffic data at intersections or on intercity roads. Vehicle presence information is transmitted to the traffic signal controller via detection outputs or via IP protocol, so that signal timing can be adjusted dynamically.
